A store in St. Catharines has snagged one of Ontario's first three cannabis retail operator licenses. The Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario said Thursday it approved and issued a license for The Niagara Herbalist, which would be at 33 Lakeshore Road, Unit 15 in St. Catharines. The commission also approved licenses for people to open The Honey Pot Cannabis Co. on Queen Street West in Toronto, as well as Central Cannabis in London, Ont. Ontario announced the first 25 people or companies who could apply for cannabis retail licences in January. The Niagara Herbalist was one of seven people or companies selected in the west region of the province's recent retail licence lottery.
