St. Louis City SCAfter decades of waiting, Major League Soccer’s St. Louis franchise has an official team name: St. Louis City SC. The St. Louis Stars played two years in the NASL in the 1970s and the St. Louis Steamers played in the MISL in the 1980s. RSL got Rio Tinto Stadium and St. Louis had to wait through fits and starts, including lack of a stable ownership group. St. Louis is the second expansion franchise to unveil its names and colors this summer, after Charlotte FC announced its crest in July.
