Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology Minister Mustafa Jabbar released two stamps worth Tk 10 each and Tk 30 souvenir sheet from his office. He also unveiled Tk 10 opening day covers and a data card worth Tk 5. Later, those will be sold at all post offices across the country, including GPOs and head post offices. Unesco's recognition did not only honour Bangabandhu's historic March 7 speech, it also brought respect to the entire country and the nation, it added. According to Unesco, Bangabandhu’s March 7 speech “effectively declared the independence of Bangladesh”.
