Star-studded panels were a daily highlight featuring the most important parts of the Star Wars universe on stage in front of 6,000 fans at jam-packed Wintrust Arena. Fans registered online via a lottery for the opportunity to attend the biggest panels, which included surprise guests like late night host Stephen Colbert who hosted a Friday morning session devoted to the latest chapter of the Star Wars saga, the forthcoming Star Wars: Episode IX – The Rise of Skywalker. Meanwhile, Saturday afternoon was reserved for the “sisters of the force,” a panel moderated by Ashley Eckstein who voices the Star Wars The Clone Wars/ Star Wars Rebels character Ahsoka Tano. Hollywood can be a jaded place, but that respect for every facet of the Star Wars universe quickly became a theme during Celebration weekend. The first live action Star Wars series will premiere November 12 as a major feature of the new Disney+ streaming video on-demand service.
