] Security and other activities at Parliament ahead of President Ruto's State of the Nation address. [Elvis Ogina, Standard]Among the issues Kenyans expect to be highlighted in Thursday’s State of the Nation address is the state of security in the country. This comes as security agencies are deployed around Parliament buildings in Nairobi ahead of the State of the Nation by President William Ruto. Police from different units including the General Service Unit, regular police, and Anti-Riot Unit have been deployed to man the roads leading in and out of Parliament, including Harambee Avenue and Parliament Road. After the address, Ruto and his deputy Rigathi Gachagua will head to a tent outside Parliament buildings where they will exchange pleasantries with the lawmakers.
