Garbatulla Sub-County Commissioner Kipchumba Rutto on Monday said Sh22 million had been disbursed to compensate the 453 victims of 2007/2008 post-election violence who resettled within Kinna and Garbatulla. The IDPs fled from Naivasha, Eldoret, Kisumu, Nakuru, Nyahururu, Kajiado and Nairobi following the post election skirmishes. “We have a list of genuine IDPs who will receive their payments at Kenya Commercial Bank (KCB), Isiolo branch,” said the deputy commissioner.
