Under-pressure Steven Gerrard has pointed to the lack of penalties awarded to his Al-Ettifaq side as a reason behind their Saudi Pro League struggles. The likes of Scotland and former Celtic defender Jack Hendry, ex-Liverpool stars Jordan Henderson and Georginio Wijnaldum as well as Demarai Gray and Moussa Dembele joined the Pro League side an an expensive splurge last summer. But with results going against him the Liverpool icon and former Rangers boss may face a tough job. Irked Gerrard said: "We are the only team to not have a penalty, but I think we deserved it in more than one match. I am not the one who decides the penalty kicks for our team, but we have deserved on in more than one match not just today (the draw with Al-Ittihad)."
