Steven Nzonzi has decided to snub a Premier League return and join Rennes this month, according to a report in France. Aston Villa and West Ham were interested in the former Stoke and Blackburn midfielder but have failed to convince the Frenchman with their projects. That put a list of interested clubs on red alert with the 6ft 5in midfielder particularly attracting interest from Villa and West Ham. But Nzonzi is set to snub both sides and join Ligue 1 outfit Rennes after being impressed in a meeting with club president Olivier Letang. According to French outlet FootMercato, the 31-year-old held talks with Nzonzi and his representatives over a loan move until the end of the season.
