DUBLIN-BASED Stobart Air, which operates the Aer Lingus Regional service, could let as many as 23 more staff go between its head office and maintenance personnel at Dublin and Cork, it has warned. The planned cuts come on top of as many as 130 pilot and cabin crew jobs Stobart Air said earlier this month it would have to axe. "We have identified up to 13 job functions that could potentially affect the ongoing employment of up to 23 employees in the areas of engineering and head office," Mr Jolly said in an email seen by the Irish Independent. He said the pandemic has "essentially wiped out demand" and severely impacted Stobart Air. The previously announced job cuts will involve Stobart Air closing its base at London Southend Airport, which is owned by the Stobart Group.
