MANILA, Philippines — Investors took a cautious stance yesterday ahead of the release of key economic data and government’s announcement of quarantine classifications after June 30. The benchmark Philippine Stock Exchange index (PSEi) finished at 6,937.96, down 12.55 points or 0.18 percent. However, investors turned more cautious anew as COVID-19 cases remain high, he said. “We continue to register more than 5,000 new cases a day, which is keeping the sentiment cautious,” Mangun said. It added that foreigners turned net buyers after four sessions, with P337 million which helped keep valuations from declining.
