Stonehenge is one of the great mysteries of modern times, as researchers try to decipher its meaning, its composition and a number of other clues about it. But a new study suggests that feasts were held in the area, with people and animals, including pigs, transported from all over Britain. Published in Scientific Advances, the study looks at 131 samples of Neolithic pigs, including jaws and tooth samples, and found that the isotopes provide clues on where the animals originated from. The research theorized that these megalith structures have been around for nearly 7,000 years and may have originated in northwestern France.
