KLANG: The Port Klang Free Zone (PKFZ) has set in place stringent standard operating procedure (SOP) that exceed the Health Ministry’s requirements to keep the area safe from Covid-19. Communication channels, he added, have also been set upfor information sharing between PKFZ management and tenants in regard to developments on Covid-19 cases. As such, PKFZ had requested its tenants to disclose the residences of its foreign workers so that it could target those staying in high-risk areas. PKFZ chairman Datuk Lawrence Low said the area is a safe site for businesses to operate from due to stringent SOP. PKFZ is a 1,000-acre area in Pulau Indah, hosting about 170 companies with about 6,500 local and foreign workers.
