Monday is expected to be mainly dry for most of the country but a "sub-tropical drenching" is on the way for much of the North Island. WeatherWatch.co.nz was predicting a sub-tropical drenching. Nelson was expected to be dry with 24C on Monday, with rain on Tuesday followed by a couple of dry days. Invercargill also had a couple of showery days expected with 15C highs, then pleasant weather picked for the rest of the week.
