Photo: BSSDHAKA, March 9, 2026 (BSS) - FIDE Master (FM) Subrata Biswas of the University of Dhaka won the title at the Manha’s Castle 28th International Chess that concluded at Bangladesh Chess Federation hall room today (Monday). After applying the tie-break system, Ananta Chowdhury of Manha’s Castle finished as the runner-up, FIDE Master Md. Special prizes were given to Woman FIDE Master Warsia Khusbu, Candidate Master Md. The day’s final round matches, FM Subrota Biswas defeated Rayan Rashid Mugdho, Ananta Choudhury drew with FM Syed Mahfuzur Rahman, FM Md. Nasim Hossain Bhuiyan defeated CM Sohel Chowdhury, Afzal Hossain Sacchu defeated Mukitul Islam Ripon, CM S. M. Sharon defeated Sheikh Md.
