MONDAY PUZZLE — This is a really fun grid to start the week! I think the theme builds like a midweek construction; its author, Jennifer Nutt, has made puzzles for Mondays through Wednesdays in the past. I might sound like a broken record, making this comment every time I write up a Monday puzzle, but there’s also a lot of challenging and entertaining fill here! Tricky Clues1A: I read this clue wrong, since I was trying to come up with a word like “manipulated”; I guess I got FAKED out, appropriately. 32A: Here, I may be showing my age: I thought of “ditto” — remember those?
