Superhot TeamGame development studio Superhot Team's flagship title launched in February 2016 on PC, eventually coming to Xbox One, PS4, and VR later on. This news put sales of the VR edition of Superhot in additional perspective as well: Superhot VR accounted for roughly 40% of total sales (800,00 units) and was likely key to uncommon revenue growth further into the game’s life cycle. 800,000 units is a significant number for any game release, especially so when coming from a virtual reality title. Callum Underwood did share, though, that Superhot VR generated more revenue than the original Superhot as of April this year. Coupled with Superhot VR releasing on Oculus Quest this month, the virtual reality version could potentially further cement itself as the studio’s cash cow throughout 2019.
