A support bubble is when two households join together exclusively and act as though they are one household. Like before these support bubbles won’t need to follow the two-metre rule - meaning they can hug, share meals, hang out indoors, stay the night. That means a person living alone cannot form multiple bubbles with multiple households. Likewise, a family cannot form multiple bubbles with more than one lonely relative. But it's stricter than the October system - and more areas than before will be in the stricter tiers.
