As rivals of the 2017 November 7 presidential candidates’ run-off trading allegations and counter-allegations of their might over the others in preparation for the presidency, the Supreme Court of Liberia has reportedly placed an injunction of the run-off election scheduled for next week. Speaking on a local radio station this morning regarding the report, the director of public information at the Supreme Court of Liberia, Darryl Ambrose Nmah said modalities are being worked out to hold a press conference on the issue. Last week, two political parties (The All Liberian Party (ALP) and the ruling Unity Party) announced their support for the lawsuit filed against the National Elections Commission alleging that the just ended October 10 elections was marred with frauds and other election violence. The three political parties vowed to push forward this legal battle against the NEC until NEC decides to rerun the general and presidential election.
