McGee explained the seriousness of young adults vaping early on in their lives. “We know that teenagers become addicted to substances so much easier than adults do because their brain is still developing,” McGee said. “They’re using really enticing flavors to get teenagers, young adults, and unfortunately kids, hooked on these products,” McGee said. “[It can] lead to long-term problems with cardiac disease, heart failure, heart attack and stroke,” McGee said. First responders and doctors recommend parents to educate themselves and have conversations with their children about the dangers of vaping.
