Police Media Spokesman Senior DIG Ajith Rohana stated that the suspect was arrested on a charge of criminal coercion. The suspect was produced before the Mahiyanganaya Magistrate’s Court and remanded till July 9. An investigation by the Mahiyanganaya Police has revealed that the person had obstructed the search for the closest associates of a Covid infected monk in the area.
