A Victoria man is in custody after a carjacking in downtown Victoria on Friday morning. The man then got behind the wheel of the truck and drove away from the scene, headed against traffic on Johnson Street. Other witnesses kept the truck in view until it came to a halt in the 1100-block of Johnson Street. Patrol officers arrived and found the suspect a short distance away, arresting him without incident. Victoria police are asking anyone who has additional information to call the non-emergency line at 250 995-7654.
