New South Wales has recorded 98 local cases of Covid-19 overnight - including 37 unlinked infections - as Premier Gladys Berejiklian warned Sydneysiders to stay at home to slow the spread of infections. Of the newly-acquired cases, 20 were active in the community for their entire contagious period and another 17 for part of the time they were infectious. Monday's new cases mean NSW health officials have now found 1,340 Covid-19 infections since that cluster began on June 16. 'As a precaution, Queensland Health advised that they would need to be moved to a designated hotel quarantine facility on the mainland,' she said. Queensland Health said in a statement the family had left Victoria before lockdown orders came into effect on Friday.
