Syrian Army Repels Terrorists' Attack at Border with Lebanon -

TEHRAN (FNA)- The Syrian Army’s border guards opened heavy fire at a group of terrorists deployed in Lebanon that tried to cross the borderline and enter Syria, pushing them back. A group of terrorists, organized in Lebanon, tried to make an illegal crossing South of al-Badouseh area in Tal Kalakh region and enter Western Homs, but the Syrian border guards’ heavy fire forced them to retreat. A number of the terrorists were killed or wounded and their remaining pockets retreated to evade more casualties. Well-informed sources reported last week that the army troops engaged in heavy fighting with terrorists in Eastern Homs, inflicting major losses on them. The sources said that the army men exchanged heavy fire with ISIL in al-Mo’ayzaliyah region near Homs border with Deir Ezzur province, killing a number of militants and destroying their equipment.
