Pictures of the meeting at the Presidential Palace were published to social media by the Dominican Presidency, alongside an official statement acknowledging Joshua on his first ever visit to the nation. The audience was chaired by Bishop Elvis Medina, who serves as a link between the government and the Christian community in the Dominican Republic. Medina, who has been at the helm of affairs since 2012, is the only Dominican President who descends from one of the country’s Founding Fathers.
