The donor was identified as Baskaran (30), from Madathur village near Madathukulam in the outskirts of Tiruppur district. He had been working as a labourer at a paper mill in his native and is survived by his wife and eleven-month-old daughter. COIMBATORE: The organs of a 30-year-old man from Tiruppur district, who was declared brain dead by doctors in the Coimbatore Medical College Hospital (CMCH) after he met with a road accident, were donated on Sunday. Baskaran, who suffered a severe head injury was admitted to the Madathukkulam GH and then referred to Coimbatore Medical College Hospital on Saturday, around 2.15 am where he was subsequently declared brain dead. The doctors spoke to his family about donating his vital organs, who gave their consent.
