TTC unveils floor decals telling commuters how to board trains at Bloor-Yonge station

The Toronto Transit Commission is unveiling a new pilot project at Bloor-Yonge station, installing floor decals in the hopes of assisting with the flow of traffic during rush hour. Arrows on the decals encourage waiting commuters to stand at the side and allow space for passengers to off-load a train before attempting to board. The TTC has launched a six-month pilot project that uses floor decals to help direct — and hopefully speed up — the flow of traffic at Bloor-Yonge station. ( Toronto Transit Commission )The pilot project, launched this Thursday, will last six months. A version of this project was already tested successfully at York University station last fall, according to the TTC.
