JOHN FOLEY is one of those entrepreneurs who insists on approachability and modesty, but when it comes to his work, he doesn’t hide his ambition. While walking to his office in New York one summer morning, he says, “If there are 100 million members worldwide...leading better, happier lives because of us, that is far beyond what Tesla and Apple can do.” He’s referring to Peloton, the fitness company he co-founded in 2012. The idea for Peloton was born when Foley, 47, and his wife, Jill, 40, realized that the responsibilities of parenthood were making it a challenge for them to get to their favorite studio classes.
