President William Ruto has been asked to withdraw and apologize over his threats to take Rai and his friends in the sugar sector to heaven. The Law Society of Kenya is clear that, the remarks by the president borders on impunity and they are extremely unfortunate. Eric Theuri is clear that, if cases are in court over the sugar sector, Rai and other players on the sugar industry should not be threatened to withdraw cases from court. The president remarks have shocked lawyers and other citizens who want the country to progress on the rule of law. A section of Kenyans have however supported the president remarks of taking people to heaven saying those opposed to the president are part of the cartels.
