"We must try to follow the proposals given to us by the acting chief justice. Earlier, the committee of three senior judges of the court had sent the names of 19 advocates in three separate phases to the Supreme Court for appointing them as judges of the court. According to sources in high court, the Supreme Court had already sent the lists of names of the advocates to the Centre for approval. "The Union government has to show a reason before cancelling the name of any advocate recommended to be appointed as a judge of any high court. A section of the agitating lawyers have demanded that the high court administration request the Supreme Court to seek clarifications from the Centre on the two rejections.
