Taoiseach defends payments to Stardust victims after they vow to refuse €20,000 offer


Families of the 1981 Stardust tragedy have already been paid €500,000 apiece, the Taoiseach told the Dáil as he defended the latest offer of €20,000 to victims. A total of €24m went to the loved ones of the 48 victims as an ex-gratia payment in the wake of a final legal finding that they had been unlawfully killed, Micheál Martin said.
