(File photo)A Taranaki iwi-owned company has been named as a semi-finalist in the Foodstarter innovation awards. South Taranaki-based Kaitahi – As One have been picked alongside twenty other New Zealand companies for the awards, which more than 200 businesses entered, for its frozen smoothie drops. The Ngā Rauru Kītahi iwi-owned company’s Frozen Superfood Smoothie Drops include locally grown plants such as pūha and kawakawa mixed with fruit, vegetables and seeds. The smoothie drops were launched in 2018 and are designed to be added into liquid to make a nutrient-packed smoothie.
