Target’s sales boomed during the pandemic, when customers rushed to buy essentials, home goods and other products. Target’s sales have stagnated and its stock has dropped nearly 30% over the last three years. Those stances drew backlash from conservative customers, and progressive customers grew frustrated at Target when it stepped back from them.
