Alexander Okere, BeninThe Chartered Institute of Personnel Management on Tuesday called on Governor Nasir el-Rufai of Kaduna State to reconsider his planned sacking of 21,780 teachers who failed the competency test recently conducted by the state government. Pamni said the move by the Kaduna governor was not a solution to the problem of incompetence. So, there is a systematic way of solving the problem. I believe that the quality of teachers is really very poor, but it is not only the teachers. Sacking them enmasse is not the solution at all.
