YMCA captain Jack Tector says his team will try and treat today's Clear Currency All-Ireland T20 Cup final against Donemana in Belfast as just another match, even though it will be their first All-Ireland final after 38 years of trying. Five times they reached the Irish Cup semi-finals – losing them all – and this is the first year they reached the knockout stage of the event. “We lost our first game of the season to Railway Union but have won every game since then (including a revenge victory in last Saturday’s Leinster League Cup final). “I think it’s down to confidence around the team, everyone knows their role and we’ve found combinations that have worked and stuck with them. They will play hosts CIYMS who, as last year’s winners, get a second chance having missed out this year as it was cancelled because of Covid.
