Last week, Manoah was sentenced in the Dunedin District Court to six months' community detention and two years' intensive supervision. ''I'd love to see a change in the law,'' Hastie said. Manoah's name suppression remained in place for one week after sentencing, on the grounds of extreme hardship to his family.
