The pedestrian, a teenage girl, was taken to Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown for treatment of her injuries but, tragically, she died in hospital later that evening. Meanwhile, an adult male and a teenage boy who were thought to be on the scrambler bike were also hospitalised with injuries that are not life-threatening. Gardai have confirmed that a teenage boy has been arrested in connection with the incident.
