NAOGAON, March 22, 2026 (BSS) - A teenage boy died after a locally made vehicle (locally known as votvoti) overturned and fell into a pond while he was out celebrating Eid with friends in Raninagar upazila of Naogaon. Hridoy, 12, son of Abdur Razzak of Amirpur village in the upazila. All the injured are also residents of Amirpur village. According to sources, a group of youths and teenagers from Amirpur village had gone out on a votvoti ride to celebrate Eid. On their way back home around 8:45 pm, the vehicle overturned and fell into a roadside pond near Bhatkoi Khagen’s pond.
