UCOL couldn’t let another year go by with students being unable to plan their future. Palmerston North polytech UCOL hosted a “career talks” day on Wednesday, an expo for employers and study providers, which was attended by hundreds of secondary school students from around the region. The day gave teens a clearer idea of what they could do once they left school, whether it was tertiary study or entering the workforce. Beals said he didn’t know what he wanted to do for a career, but the event had given him ideas.
