Parts of Australia have shivered through their coldest night of the year so far as temperatures plummeted below 0C. South-east Queensland shivered through a second consecutive morning of freezing temperatures after 30 towns across the region recorded their coldest temperatures of the year on Sunday. But it the highest minimum temperatures were still recorded in the Darling Downs and Granite Belt districts, according to the Bureau of Meteorology. Nearby Wadbilliga National Park was also blanketed in snow as the native wildlife shivered through the freezing conditions.
