A blaze on Hopkinson Rd, Temuka is being treated as arson. (File photo)Police have launched an arson investigation after a Temuka house was extensively damaged in an early morning fire. A police spokeswoman confirmed investigations were underway after Fire and Emergency was called to Hopkinson Rd about 3am on Saturday. A Fire and Emergency New Zealand spokesman said six fire trucks from Temuka, Pleasant Point, Timaru and Clandeboye were called to the scene about 3.10am where the house was well ablaze. “It was deemed suspicious and has been referred to police.”Crews left the scene about 4.20am.
