Sunken pillars on the building's ground floor. PHOTO | COURTESYTenants in a high-rise building in Nairobi have been forced to move out after the multi-storey building began sinking. Pictures of the building, which have been doing rounds on social media, show widening cracks on the building which is located in Mucatha, Ruaka. Some other pictures show part of the main pillars on the ground floor sunken several inches while metal grills on doors and widows are bent because of the weight of the building. Cases of collapsed houses have increased in the recent past with the onset of the rainy season.
