Ma Huateng, chairman of China Internet heavyweight Tencent, has for the first time become the wealthiest person in all of Asia. That compares with $35.6 billion for Jack Ma, the chairman of Alibaba, who slipped to No. Tencent boasts a wide array of popular services and products including payments and games, along with social networking platform WeChat. Tencent's chairman also moved past India's Mukesh Ambani and Hong Kong's Li Ka-shing to take the title of wealthiest person in the Asian region. Only $1.3 billion separates Ma from Li, suggesting that these four Asian tycoons will likely be trading places in the wealth ranks in the coming days and weeks.
