There was pandemonium in the Ota Efun area of Osogbo, Osun State on Friday following the alleged killing of a rig operator, Kabir Bapai, by a policeman. “The policemen were talking to the driver, when one of them suddenly started slapping the man and shot him on the hand. The gunshot and the noise drew the attention of Bapai, the operator, who was busy fixing the faulty truck. The incident immediately sparked a violent protest as many residents descended on one of the three policemen, while his colleagues fled. The corpse was later deposited at the morgue of the Osun State University Teaching Hospital, Osogbo.
