Musk is the world's wealthiest person, with a net worth on Monday estimated at $299 billion, according to Forbes magazine. Musk is the CEO of Austin-based electric automaker Tesla, aerospace company SpaceX and tunneling entity the Boring Company, along with a variety of other companies and foundations. Musk and Tesla have been steadily increasing their presence in the Austin area.
