Oman won 4-3 in the fifth match, however, it was nothing but a consolation victory as Bangladesh had already clinched the series. The first quarter ended goalless before Oman took the lead in the 29th minute from a penalty corner by captain Rashed al Fazari. The home side won the first match 5-1 on October 8 before being held to a 2-2 draw a day later. The series served as preparation for Bangladesh ahead of the Bangabandhu Junior Asia Cup 2020, scheduled to be held in Dhaka. Following yesterday’s game, Bangladesh U-21 head coach Mamunur Rashid hoped for more friendly matches in the near future, which he thinks will stand them in good stead for the Junior Asia Cup.
