Tet in the old days enacted in Old QuarterThis is the first time these tourists witnessed the Tet celebrations of a typical Hanoian family in the past. Tran Minh Hoang, a tourist from Ho Chi Minh City said this was his first time coming to Hanoi. He found that the way of celebrating Tet festival here was very different from that in Ho Chi Minh City. Dinh Hoang Nam, tourist from Ho Chi Minh City expressed that in the south, Tet celebrations came earlier. On display at the Tet space event which will last until Feb. 20 are the worshiping space of a family in the northern region and “standard” trays of traditional Tet dishes along with folk paintings and favourite blossoms for Tet.
