Thai Textile Society puts Japan in the spotlight


The Thai Textile Society continues its Collector's Corner series with "Made In Japan: From The Floating World To The Digital Age", which will take place at Siam Society, Asok Road, on Saturday at 10am. Through trade and public exposure, Japanese woodblock prints, ceramics and textiles impacted visual styles and art movements. Navamintr is an adviser to the Thai Textile Society Committee, who has contributed to Thai and English magazines on art, culture, travel and lifestyle. He will bring his collections of classical kimonos to juxtapose with contemporary creations of Issey Miyake, whose designs will also be discussed.
