Thai influencer and life coach Gina “Wonder JN” has shut down her Facebook and TikTok accounts following intense backlash over comments criticising men who follow women showing off their bodies on Instagram. The controversy erupted after Gina posted a video in which she said men who follow women displaying their physiques on Instagram may appear “low-class and lacking social maturity”. Some men agreed with her perspective, arguing that public social media behaviour reflects one’s character. However, many criticised the remarks as overgeneralising and disrespectful towards men, with language deemed excessively harsh. Many said they had discovered a pattern of disparaging remarks about men in her previous content.
