Fellow soldiers administered first aid at the scene before rushing him to Kap Choeng Hospital, where he is under close medical supervision. He ordered a comprehensive re‑inspection of the entire base area to ensure maximum safety. Since tensions began to escalate between Thailand and Cambodia in May last year, a total of 23 Thai soldiers have been injured by landmines, with 13 losing limbs.
