SET-listed satellite operator Thaicom expects the Indian market to account for 30% of its total revenue by the end of 2027, up from 15% currently, driven by the operation of the Thaicom 9 and Thaicom 10 satellites. According to Thaicom chief executive Patompob Suwansiri, Thaicom operates a satellite service in India via its wholly-owned IPSTAR India subsidiary. The Thaicom 4 broadband satellite serves the Asia-Pacific market and contributes 40% of total revenue to Thaicom. He added that India is currently the biggest international market for Thaicom, contributing 15% of total revenue to the company.
